Will Richardson has been selected to the first-team Pac-12 preseason team by the reporters who cover the conference.

The all-conference teams, which were released Wednesday morning, are loaded with UCLA players. Three different Bruins — Tyger Campbell, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Johnny Juzang — were first-team picks. Freshman Peyton Watson was also an honorable mention selection.

Richardson was the only Duck to receive a first-team nod. In 16 games for Oregon last season, he averaged 11.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and a team-best 3.9 assists per game while shooting 40.3 percent from three-point range.

Richardson was listed in various mock drafts last year in the leadup to the 2021 NBA Draft and likely had a shot to go pro. But he elected to come back to Eugene for his senior season and will be the cornerstone of an Oregon team that was selected to finish No. 2 in the preseason coaches poll.

Quincy Guerrier, a junior transfer from Syracuse, was a second-team all-conference selection. De’Vion Harmon, a junior transfer from Oklahoma, was selected to the second team as well.

Guerrier was an all-ACC selection for Syracuse last season and tallied 13.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field.

Harmon averaged 7.4 points, 2.0 assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game for the Sooners while shooting 34.3 percent from 3-point range and 36.4 percent from the field.
