On Wednesday Dan Lanning met with media for the final open interview period this week. The Ducks are set to host Stanford this weekend with a very late 8 PM kickoff.

Lanning went over Wednesday’s practice ahead of the contest. He touched on a number of topics about his team and the Stanford Cardinal. Below are some highlights from his interview session with the full video posted at the bottom.

There are no more open media sessions this week ahead of Saturday’s game.

Opening Lines:

“Good day at work. Some good prep for Stanford this week. Ready to go play a good opponent.”

On Punting:

“It’s been good. Continuing to evaluate and do what’s best for the team.”

On Stanford’s RB’s:

“Both good players, EJ’s a really good player, you hate to see them lose a guy. Both are really good players so I don’t think this really changes anything for them.” (Smith and Filkins)

On Redzone in Practice:

“They’ve done good. Today I think offense won a series, defense won a series. Continue to build on it.”

On Tanner McKee:

“He understands their system really well. They do some stuff that requires QB reads, he makes good decisions there.”
