Comparing Penn State's 2022 offensive output to 2021 featuring way too many stats

Big-game theatrics and a healthy dose of inconsistency have been the calling card of the Penn State offense through five games of the season. Despite that, Penn State is in the same 5-0 spot they were a year ago and will presumably have another top-ten showdown with a Big Ten team in two weekends when they head to Ann Arbor.  So what are the differences between the 2021 offense and the 2022 offense? We’ll compare the two teams using advanced analytics and grades from PFF to tell the story of how these similar yet very distinct offenses have operated through the first five games of the season.
