It is game day again, Penn State football fans. The Nittany Lions start the October portion of their schedule with a visit from Northwestern. Head coach James Franklin’s team is a sizable favorite prior to kickoff.

“Excited for the opportunity,” Wildcats coach Pat Fitzgerald said. “Great stadium in Beaver Stadium in front of one of the best fan bases in the country.

“I mean, year in year out, you tip your hat to the Nittany Lion fan base. They’re absolutely outstanding. So a lot of work for us to do. But I’m excited to get back into Big Ten Play.”

Added Lions coach James Franklin:

“Obviously at home. It’ll be a challenge. Whenever you’re playing a Big Ten opponent, it’ll be a challenge. We’re looking forward to the opportunity.”
