How to watch Penn State-Rutgers; pregame info, weather, TV, start time, more: Gameday Central
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Penn State is ready to close out its 2025 regular season. The Nittany Lions face Rutgers today. Bowl eligibility is on the line for both five-win teams. Only one will qualify for the postseason based on the outcome of Saturday’s contest.
“We’re going to be prepared, but the intent and the intensity that we’re going to approach the game is the same as anything,” interim head coach Terry Smith said Wednesday night. “This is a Big Ten matchup. No Big Ten matchup is ever easy. So we’re going to go in there and be ready to battle. They have a lot to play for, like us, we’re both trying to get to the bowl game. It’s a lot at stake for each of these teams.”
Said Rutgers coach Greg Schiano:
“As I always say, goals are a little overrated. My main appreciation of goals is that it forces people to create a plan. Other than that, the team on the other side will have the same goal we do when the game kicks off. They’d like to win and go to a bowl.
We’d like to win and go to a bowl. It’s all going to be about execution. It’s all going to be about the preparation that we’ve put in this week and what kind of execution that leads to on Saturday.”
