Penn State ends May at No. 12 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

A busy April in recruiting propelled Penn State upward in the Class of 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Landing eight of the Nittany Lions’ 14-man group in April, they jumped from No. 19 into, at one point, the top 10.
Coming out of May, following the addition of just one more commitment to the class, Penn State’s positioning remains steady. That addition came in the form of three-star quarterback Ethan Grunkmeyer. The 6-foot-2, 190 pound prospect selected Penn State over offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Virginia, among others.
Now boasting a class of five four-star prospects and nine three-star recruits, the Nittany Lions finish the month at No. 12 nationally. The program holds an overall team score of 91.497, which represents a slight dip from its May 22 score of 91.621.
Penn State remains wedged in the rankings between No. 11 LSU and No. 13 Clemson as what’s expected to be a busy month of June closes in.

Penn State in the Big Ten
The Nittany Lions haven’t moved from their third-place position in the Big Ten. They remain behind Ohio State (94.915) and Michigan (93.144). The Buckeyes and Wolverines continue to shine on the national stage as well, checking in at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively.
The rest of the Big Ten is another story, however.
While Southern Cal has jumped dramatically into the conversation with a three-man class, the Trojans remain well behind Penn State with a team score of 89.240 at present. Rounding out the top five in the conference, Iowa checks in with its 11 commitments and a score of 88.610.
The rest of the Big Ten has Wisconsin, Nebraska, UCLA, Purdue, and Minnesota rounding out the top 10. Rutgers, Michigan State, Northwestern, Indiana, Maryland, and Illinois complete the Big Ten rankings.
