Penn State football held their final open practice of the 2022 spring season on Wednesday night, and Blue White Illustrated was there to show you the sights and sounds. This week, reporter Thomas Frank Carr takes you through the offensive line and quarterback drill he viewed during the roughly 15 minutes of open availability.

Despite some challenges of being inside Holuba Hall, T-Frank gets a view of Penn State fans’ most requested group: the offensive line. However, he focuses on young players that few have yet to see practice or play to prepare fans for the Blue-White game on Saturday. First, he starts with tackle Jimmy Christ, followed by Lackawanna transfer JB Nelson and Saleem Wormley, returning from injury.

Next, he focuses on the quarterbacks. The signal-callers worked on pocket drills first, followed by reps with the running backs. After that, T-Frank explains why the mesh point is so important to practice. Finally, he explains what the coaching staff is likely trying to attain by mixing different players in the drill.
