BWI Photos: Penn State wraps up spring practice with Blue-White Game
Penn State wrapped up its spring practice this past Saturday with its annual Blue-White Game. The Blue team defeated the White squad, 10-0. Quarterback Drew Allar completed a 28-yard pass to Omari Evans for the only touchdown of the game, as Penn State’s defense looked good throughout.
“Offensively, it was really good to see some young guys step up. I thought Omari (Evans) really stepped up and we need a third wideout to step up,” Penn State head coach James Franklin said following the game. “So that was exciting to see him make some plays out there. I thought Kaden Saunders did some things and (Anthony) Ivey did some things, and Malik McClain did some things. So, we need that.
“Defensively I thought Dani (Dennis-Sutton) was unblockable out there. He’s going to have a big year for us. I couldn’t be more excited about him. I thought KJ Winston was flying all over the field. So we’re just back into kind of a different place from a depth perspective, probably pre-COVID. That’s been valuable. We still got some guys coming in that we’re excited about. So that’ll be great.”
