Penn State finished its 2022 season in style Monday, winning one of its biggest games in decades. Facing the Pac-12 champions in Utah, the Nittany Lions totaled 445 yards of offense in the win, defeating the Utes, 35-21. The win capped an 11-win season for head coach James Franklin, who now has wins in three of the six New Year’s Six Bowls.

It was only the school’s second win in five tries at the Rose Bowl. The other came against Oregon when the 1994 team, led by Kerry Collins and Ki-Jana Carter, beat up on the Ducks.
