It’s Tuesday, which can only mean one thing on this particular final one of November: All eyes are on a virtual meeting.

Penn State could make a big announcement that sets up its football future for years to come later this afternoon. Or, perhaps it won’t.

That is the top story of the newsstand for Nov. 23, but there are other tweets and headlines to be aware of. Senior film is starting to drop from members of the Lions’ Class of 2022, alum Trace McSorley has a new NFL home, and Michigan State coach Mel Tucker met the media Monday.

Let’s dive into the rundown for Nov. 23.

Penn State tweets of the day

The Penn State Board of Trustees’ Committee on Compensation has a 3:45 p.m. meeting scheduled for today. Its lone agenda item is a ‘personnel matter.’

Is that matter a new contract for James Franklin?

We won’t know until we do. Franklin, who also speaks at both 12:30 p.m. today to reporters and at about 6:30 tonight on the Penn State Coaches Show, hinted on Saturday that something might be coming today.

Stay tuned.

In other news, Trace McSorley has a new NFL team.

The Arizona Cardinals signed the Virginia native off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on Tuesday night.

McSorley will now play at the University of Pheonix Stadium. He already has one pretty good performance under his belt there: A Fiesta Bowl victory.

Penn State has two five-stars in the just-updated On300. Some of those players released their season film on Monday.

Quote of the day

“It’s a challenge we’re up for, we’re built for and personally, I really like a challenge. I really embrace challenges and so do our players and so does our staff. We’re competitors and we’re in a position to go into our stadium one last time this season and get the job done. That’s our sole focus.”
