We’re now deep into Penn State spring practice, which means there is plenty to discuss with the Nittany Lions. It also means that there’s more recruiting news to sort through after the second weekend of visitors on campus. Blue White Illustrated’s Monday live show dissects the recruiting weekend to get you caught up with the latter. Recruiting insiders Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz review the stories they followed and the players they talked to with host Thomas Frank Carr.

They’ll review Penn State’s latest commitment in the Class of 2024 after tight end Luke Reynolds committed to the program on Saturday. The group will also discuss the feedback they received from visiting prospects and update storylines about individuals like defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam after his latest visit.

Penn State lands Luke Reynolds

News broke on Saturday afternoon that the Nittany Lions landed their fifth commitment in the Class of 2024 with Reynolds. The three-star prospect is the latest in New England’s growing pipeline of tight ends and is another recruiting success in the area. The group will discuss how he landed with the Nittany Lions and his thoughts on the program.

Next, Fitz and Snyder will review the weekend and the common feedback they received from prospects. Then, Fitz and Snyder will share their opening thoughts before T-Frank dives into specific stories from over the weekend. Got a question for the group? Ask during the show!

Defensive tackles in the spotlight

Next, they’ll discuss specific players that visited and why those players are important. This week’s theme is defensive tackle. T-Frank will ask Fitz and Snyder about rising Pennsylvania big-man Deyvid Palepale and new face Jaylin Hicks. They’ll also update fans on the story with Gilliam, who is quickly becoming one of Penn State’s stop interior targets.

Finally, the group will end the show by discussing the newest offers that have gone out to prospects since the last show. They’ll discuss the offer status of Texas athlete Dre’lon Miller, and 2024 interior lineman Joseph Cryer. They’ll also keep an eye on 2025 quarterback offer Kelden Ryan and 2026 offensive lineman Maxwell Riley.
