The result of Sunday’s matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals headlines Monday’s newsstand. It also features a recruiting update and more as February rolls along and spring practice inches closer with each passing day.
Let’s get to the top tweets and headlines about Penn State and college football on Feb. 14.
Penn State tweets of the day
We start with the Super Bowl.
Former Penn State players Nick Scott and Grant Haley were part of the victorious Rams side that took out quarterback Joe Burrow and the Bengals 23-20 at SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles.
Scott ended up with two tackles during the win. Haley did not show up on the stat sheet but has had a role, mainly on special teams, throughout the season.
According to Penn State Athletics, 46 onetime Lions have earned 65 Super Bowl rings. That count includes Chris Hogan, who played lacrosse at Penn State before having a lengthy NFL career with the New England Patriots.
In other news, it would not be a Monday without some new offers to recap from the weekend.
Penn State extended an opportunity to play to Class of 2024 Maryland corner Braydon Lee. It also joined the mix for On3 Consensus three-star and Class of 2023 athlete Eugene Wilson III. He claims offers from Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss, among others.

Quote of the day
“It’s the third game in the row where we’ve shot under eight free throws. And we were as aggressive as possible, driving the basketball, throwing the ball in the post, doing what we need to do on the offensive glass, and none of those are getting called. And that ain’t right. That ain’t right. And I’m not happy about that.”
–PSU men’s basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry following his team’s 76-70 loss at Minnesota.
