PURDUE FOOTBALL RECRUITING

Dub Jellison’s excerpt from Boiling Over

Purdue football eclipsed the 20-member mark in the 2026 recruiting class last weekend, with the commitment of three-star EDGE Katrell Webb. The priority defender also marked the second straight key pickup in the cycle, joining three-star defensive lineman Jamarcus Whyce.

With the Boilermakers expected to take 22-25 players in the class, a handful of targets remain on the board moving forward, with a duo coming to light in recent days.

True North Classical Academy (Fla.) defensive back teammates Camaul King and Dominic Turnbull were both offered over the weekend and are now targets for Purdue at safety and cornerback, respectively. The interest in King and Turnbull stems from Purdue missing on both Jett Goldsberry and Vincent Smith last week. While there is no date set at the moment, we expect both King and Turnbull to lock in in-season official visits to West Lafayette.

Another key target that Purdue is still awaiting a decision on is three-star offensive tackle Brody Smith. The Tennessee product has had his process delayed due to a personal matter. With all due respect, that’s as much as we’ll say on the matter, but that could be the reason for the delay on his decision. The belief, though, is that Purdue, Tennessee, and North Carolina State are battling it out. There is no timetable for his commitment at this time. (DJ)
