WATCH: SMU reveals all-black uniform combination for Boston College matchup
SMU’s media team once again crushed a uniform reveal as the Mustangs will wear it’s all-black combination against Boston College on Saturday. Check out the video below as safety Ahmaad Moses models the unique look.
Last week, SMU put up the bat signal and it’s clear that the Salute to Service game was what the team was targeting for its all-black uniforms.
SMU’s 2-0 in the all-black uniforms, scoring 77 points on Houston in 2022 before beating North Texas by 24 in 2023. This season, it’s a critical conference matchup at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN as Rhett Lashlee’s team is 13th in the College Football Playoff rankings.
With Miami’s loss on Saturday to Georgia Tech, SMU’s also the No. 1 team in the ACC in just its first season with an unblemished 5-0 record in league play. Last year in the Fenway Bowl, the Mustangs fell to Boston College so like Batman… the Mustangs might be out for a bit of revenge on the enemy coming into Ford Stadium.

SMU defensive coordinator Scott Symons said last week that the Mustangs should have a bad taste in their mouth from last year’s loss in Boston.
“I mean, I hope so. I don’t know if it plays a factor,” Symons said last week. “I think that the motivation of the game that we have right in front of us should be motivation enough. But I’m sure that some guys will be extra excited for that opportunity. But at the end of the day, we got to focus on us and putting the best version of us on the field.”
There’s plenty on the line for SMU and the Mustangs will look to play lights out against BC this time around.
