The WNBA season tipped off Friday night with four former Gamecocks in action. Here’s how they did, as well as a look at when they’ll play again.

A’ja Wilson
In her fifth season in the league, A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces ran the Phoenix Mercury out of the gym, 106-88. Wilson posted 15 points and 11 rebounds while adding two assists and a block in the win. The Heathwood Hall product will be back in action Sunday night when the Aces host Seattle at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Tiffany Mitchell
A seven-year veteran, Tiffany Mitchell was one of two Gamecocks who played last night for the Indiana Fever who dropped their opener to Washington 84-70. Mitchell finished with seven points, a rebound, and an assist. She was 1-for-1 on her lone three-point attempt. The Fever will host Los Angeles on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. The game will air on Amazon Prime.

Destanni Henderson
In her WNBA debut, Henderson started for Indiana Friday night, alongside Mitchell. She played just over 17 minutes and picked up four points, five assists, and two rebounds in the loss. As Gamecock Central’s own Chris Wellbaum mentioned earlier in the week in his “South Carolina women’s basketball: Gamecocks in the WNBA – Season preview,” mentioned Henderson is one of five rookies on the roster for the Fever roster as the franchise goes through another makeover.

Alaina Coates
Coates was inactive in last night’s game for the Indiana Fever.

Kaela Davis
After being waived by the Chicago Sky on Wednesday, Davis was re-signed by the team in a hardship deal. Davis played just under ten minutes in the Chicago’s 98-91 loss to the LA Sparks. She finished 0-for-1 from the field. The Sky will play the New York Liberty on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

Allisha Gray and Ty Harris will make their season debuts tonight when their Dallas Wings take on the Atlanta Dream. Gray, who enters her sixth season in the league averaged 11.9 ppg last season and averaged the most rebounds she has had in her career, hauling in 5.2 boards per game. Harris enters her third season in the WNBA and averaged 4.4 ppg last season.
