What a day for South Carolina, and Shane Beamer is there to recap all of it.

The Gamecocks pulled off a Hail Mary, snagging five-star athlete Nyck Harbor after it seemed like Oregon had stolen all of the momentum overnight.

It’s a big win for Beamer, who will address the media Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. to talk about a massive signing day–that also included picking up Elijah Caldwell–while updating things around the program.

Gamecock Central is on hand to cover it and provide updates from it.

South Carolina has a top-20 class with the Gamecocks signing 50 percent blue-chip players in the class.

A ton of those–including Desmond Umeozulu, Markee Anderson, Pup Howard and Xzavier McLeod–are already on campus.

One four-star prospect, Zavion Hardy, did not sign with South Carolina today. He posted Tuesday he would opt for the junior college route after some academic issues.

He signed Wednesday with East Mississippi, the same junior college where transfer Elijah Davis played last season.

South Carolina also signed a handful of transfers and this would be the first chance Beamer has to talk about them.

He’ll be able to talk about offensive tackle Sidney Fugar and receiver Eddie Lewis along with Caldwell. Beamer can also speak more about the addition of Lonnie Teasley, who took over as full-time offensive line coach in January.

“Right now, we haven’t talked about responsibilities. He’s still going to be heavily involved with what we do. I told him I wanted him to stay around,” Beamer said earlier this month. “To me, we have two really good offensive line coaches in Lonnie and Ad. I’m happy to have both of them here. They’re both on the same page and work great together.”
