South Carolina announces sellout for Clemson rivalry matchup, marking second year in a row with complete season sellout
Gamecock football fans have done it again. Williams-Brice Stadium has sold out for Saturday’s Palmetto Bowl rivalry matchup with the Clemson Tigers, the University of South Carolina announced on Friday.
The announced capacity crowd completes the 2025 season sellout for USC. Season tickets sold out this offseason, and the rest of each game’s allotment followed during game week. The Gamecocks also sold out all of the 2024 season and the final two games of the 2023 campaign, meaning South Carolina has sold out its last 16 games at Williams-Brice Stadium. That is an extension of the program record.
Every game this season, other than the neutral-site opener in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Virginia Tech, has been a complete sellout. The Gamecocks played in sold-out road venues against Missouri, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. Carolina and VT sold out their allotment of the tickets in the opener, as well, but there were some late-released neutral tickets remaining.

The Insiders Forum: Discuss South Carolina football!
South Carolina enters this weekend’s rivalry game with a 4-7 overall record and a 1-7 mark in SEC play. Clemson, meanwhile, sports a 6-5 record and is 4-4 in ACC play. The 10 combined wins represent the lowest total since the 1999 matchup (five combined victories).
The Gamecocks have won two of three in the series, but both of those wins came in the Upstate. Carolina has not won in Columbia since Steve Spurrier’s 2013 victory. That was the final year of USC’s five-game winning streak in the rivalry series.
