As its June recruiting momentum continues to build, South Carolina football added another verbal commitment on Friday, its seventh public commitment in the last 12 days.

Ephraim (Utah) Snow College class of 2023 JUCO offensive tackle Isaiah Jatta announced his commitment to the Gamecocks.

The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder traveled to Columbia last week to work out at the Shane Beamer Football Camp and stayed in town for the weekend afterward.

Jatta landed an offer from the Gamecocks last Saturday and then quickly gave the staff his verbal pledge that day, waiting to announce the news Friday morning.

Jatta is the second offensive line pledge for position coach Greg Adkins in the 2023 class, with Atlanta product Trovon Baugh representing the other.

Two South Carolina targets added their names to the public commit list last Saturday when Rock Hill (S.C.) Legion Collegiate three-star ATH Judge Collier and Anniston (Ala.) ATH/TE Kamron Sandlin announced commitments to the Gamecocks.

Two Sundays ago, Carolina added three public pledges when Fort Myers (Fla.) Lehigh four-star ATH Kelton Henderson, Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School three-star tight end Connor Cox and Perry (Fla.) Taylor County three-star DB Cameron Upshaw all committed.

Eatonton (Ga.) Putnam County four-star DB Jalon Kilgore also announced his South Carolina commitment last Wednesday, the second blue-chipper in the South Carolina class.

Fresno State and Nevada also offered Jatta, who played his high school football in San Diego, California at Helix Charter.
