Okoronkwo played in all 13 of Alabama’s games this season, primarily on special teams and as a defensive reserve. He recorded 14 tackles and half of a tackle for loss in his only year with the Crimson Tide.
Okoronkwo grew up playing soccer and competing in gymnastics, only picking up football around five years ago. But he quickly gained notoriety when he displayed a unique blend of size and speed on the American college camp circuit two summers ago.

A one-time Maryland commit, Okronkwo landed a flurry of offers including scholarships from South Carolina, Michigan, and Penn State before ultimately committing to Bama.
Okoronkwo is the second linebacker addition to the program via the transfer portal, both of which started their careers at Alabama. Florida State transfer linebacker Shawn Murphy, who signed with the Tide out of high school, signed with the Gamecocks in December.
