Davis spent the first year of her college softball career at Ole Miss, where she appeared in 15 games. She did not earn much playing time in these contests, as she finished the season with just 11 at bats. Over the course of her debut season, Davis totaled two hits (including one home run), two RBIs, one run scored, one walk and one stolen base.
Her most notable contribution to the Rebels’ season came in a March 14 contest against North Dakota State at the Rebel Invitational. With Ole Miss needing an eight-run advantage to clinch a run-rule victory, Davis launched a two-run shot to center field to give the team a 9-1 win over the Bison.
A native of Greer, S.C., Davis played high school softball at Greer High School. While there, she was a six-year letterwinner, hit over .450, broke multiple program records and helped the team to three consecutive regional championships.

Davis joins NC State outfielder Tori Ensley and Mississippi State right-handed pitcher Josey Marron as the Gamecocks’ transfer commitments thus far in the offseason.
The NCAA transfer portal window for softball opened on May 18 and will remain open until June 16. Graduate students, though, can enter the portal at any time.
