South Carolina football made an absolute splash on national signing day with the signing of Nycholes Harbor.
In a whirlwind of 24 hours for the top-ranked athlete in the country for the 2023 class, Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks managed to come out on top.
The signing had the entire fanbase tuned into ESPN at 1:15 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Here’s how the internet reacted to the five-star’s commitment.

One of the coolest reactions comes from Founders Park. South Carolina baseball was preparing for their Wednesday scrimmage and tuned in to watch the monumental signing.
South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler was pitching hard to land the No.1 athlete in the class. Harbor’s quarterback for 2023 chimed in on the signing via Twitter.
Beamer sent in his biggest “Welcome home” tweet of his career after the signing.
Early enrollee Grayson “Pup” Howard shared his thoughts on his newest teammate. Howard was one of the biggest recruiters within the program.
One of Harbor’s DMV area fellow signees Oluwatosin “Big Tree” Babalade played to that narrative. #DMVTOSC has been generating traction because of how heavy the Gamecocks are recruiting the area.

South Carolina’s tight ends coach Jody Wright gave the fanbase some faith as he tweeted this minutes before Harbor’s signing.
Wright’s partner in crime during Harbor’s commitment, Sterling Lucas, welcomed his newest weapon on the defensive line. Lucas is said to have played a massive role in recruiting Harbor as well.
