South Carolina’s official SEC availability report on Wednesday listed just two players — offensive tackles Cason Henry and Jatavius Shivers — by Thursday, there were two more names on it.

Starting left tackle Josiah Thompson is listed as questionable, as of Thursday, and defensive back Jalewis Solomon is doubtful.

Head coach Shane Beamer had already warned fans on his call-in show earlier Thursday of the two new additions.

“It was pretty good yesterday and then we had some things that flared up in practice today,” Beamer said. “Yeah, Shivers and Henry will be out. Josiah Thompson’s a little bit banged up. He’ll be listed on our injury report tonight when it comes out, that we have to release. He’ll be on that. Hopeful for him on Saturday, it’s nothing major. And then Jalewis Solomon, one of our special teams players and young defensive backs, he aggravated something in practice today, so I would say he will be doubtful on Saturday.”

South Carolina is set to get wide receiver Jayden Sellers and defensive back and special teams standout Buddy Mack III back for this weekend’s matchup with Texas A&M, according to Wednesday’s SEC availability report, after both missed the Ole Miss game two weekends ago.

“But outside of (the four who will be listed), for it to be Game 10 in November, after the stretch that we’ve just had in October, feel fortunate that we are where we are,” Beamer continued on Thursday. “But I hate that I just named three offensive tackles that are either going to be out or could be out on Saturday, especially against this front four.”

Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver is still listed as questionable.

Sellers had started to come on during the previous two games prior to his injury.

The next update will be on Friday at around 8:10, followed by a final report 90 minutes before kickoff on Saturday.

Last season, the SEC approved a player availability injury report system for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

SEC school personnel must submit availability reports three days before each football game, with daily updates leading to a final report 90 minutes before game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before, with an update on game day.

When schools submit injury reports, players will be designated as available, probable, doubtful, and questionable before game day. On game day, designations will be available, game-time decision or out. The model follows injury reports similar to the NFL.

South Carolina and Texas A&M are set for a noon kickoff with ESPN carrying the action.
