On3 released its updated 2024 rankings Tuesday, and there are a few South Carolina targets dotting the list.

The top 75 were updated and the Gamecocks are recruiting multiple players, including a few inside the top 50.

A handful of targets with South Carolina ties crack the top 75, headlined by Lexington’s Cam Scott.

Scott checks in as the No. 13 player in the class and a four-star prospect heading into July.

The guard picked up a South Carolina offer recently and the Gamecocks have been incredibly prevalent watching him play over the circuit this summer.

Elijah Crawford also cracks the top 50, checking in as a four-star prospect and the No. 46 player in his class. He played last year at Augusta Christian and will transfer to Legacy Early College this year.

The Gamecocks have already been in contact with the rising junior and are working to get him on campus for an unofficial visit.

On3 ranks KJ Greene the No. 58 player in the class and also a four-star guard. Greene started his career at Blythewood and is playing now at Pace (Ga.) Academy.

Lamont Paris offered Greene in June and he mentioned to GamecockCentral he might take a South Carolina visit sometime in July.

The Gamecocks have also expressed interest in a few high-profile players without ties to the state.

South Carolina reportedly reached out to Asa Newell, who On3 ranks as a five-star prospect and the No. 4 player in the class.

The Gamecocks also offered five-star center Somto Cyril, who checks in as the No. 10 player nationally.

South Carolina also reached out to Drake Powell, who ranks as the No. 47 player in the country and a four-star player.

This stretch now for the Gamecocks’ staff is pivotal on the recruiting trail for not only the 2024 class but 2023 as well.

Starting July 6 there is a live period where South Carolina’s staff will have a chance to go out on the road and evaluate players.

That will run through July 10 before a dead period. Then, there’s a big live period from July 20 through July 24.

There will be multiple events that week, the biggest being Peach Jam in North Augusta.
