For the first time since the 2016 season, the University of Tennessee campus will host College GameDay presented by Home Depot. Athena Volunteers host Florida for their Southeastern Conference opener on Saturday inside Neyland Stadium.

The show airs live on ESPN from 9 a.m. to noon. The location of GameDay has not been announced as ESPN looks at different locations.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS from a sold-out Neyland Stadium.

It marks the 10th time that Tennessee will host College GameDay and the 22nd time that the Vols have appeared on college football’s most iconic show.

This game will make it the last three times that Tennessee has hosted College GameDay has been for a matchup with the Gators. The last occurred on Sept. 24, 2016, a game that saw the 14th-ranked Vols rally from a 21-0 deficit to beat 19th-ranked Florida, 38-28, as quarterback Joshua Dobbs accounted for five touchdowns. The Vols will checker Neyland for this game.

Saturday marks the ninth Tennessee-Florida game that College GameDay has broadcast from. The series is tied for the third-most frequently visited matchup by the show, trailing only Alabama-LSU (11) and Ohio State-Penn State (11). Alabama-Georgia has also been a part of nine broadcasts.

Tennessee is coming off of a 63-6 win over Akron, while Florida defeated South Florida 31-28.

The Vols scored 35 points in the first half and never looked back, rotating ample players into the mix. In the end, it was a Tennessee 63-6 final over Akron that acted as the final dress rehearsal for Florida and SEC play next weekend.

Wideout Jalin Hyatt had a career-day, tapping out with 166 yards on five receptions with two scores. His two touchdown receptions were from miles away at 48 and 57 yards. His first was on a slant over the middle where he turned on the jets to outrun the defense down the far sideline. His second was on a bomb from Hooker down the sideline.
