We’ve entered the first phase of a very fast-moving football offseason with four Tennessee players expected to enter the transfer portal and plenty of bowl season conversation. Where will Tennessee play its bowl game and who will be in uniform when it happens?

Brent Hubbs, Austin Price, Rob Lewis and Eric Cain answer these questions and more on this week’s edition of the Volquest Mailbag Podcast.

Four Vols expected to be transfer portal bound

Tennessee wide receivers Jimmy Holiday and Jimmy Calloway both announced their intentions of entering the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon. The former quarterback, Holiday, reeled in five catches and a touchdown on the opener versus Ball State. He was also Tennessee’s primary kick returner this season. Calloway capped his Tennessee career with nine catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in three seasons. He found the endzone on a 44-yard reception against Pitt in 2021.

On3’s Matt Zenitz also reported on Wednesday that Tennessee running backs Len’Neth Whitehead and Justin Williams-Thomas plan to enter the transfer portal as well. The former dealt with injuries his entire Volunteer career, causing him to miss the entirety of the 2022 season. His best game in Orange came at Missouri in 2021, where he racked up 76 rushing yards on nine carries to win the SEC Freshman Player of the Week award. Williams-Thomas, a freshman, tallied 37 yards on 11 carries this season.
