In my last update on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine one month ago, Texas A&M led for four total prospects. As it stands right now, November 30, Texas A&M leads for only two prospects. 2023 four-star Converse (Texas) Judson defensive lineman Johnny Bowens was favored to the Aggies, but committed to Oregon. There were no additions to the list since last month.

There is only 22 days until the December signing period, when the majority of division one prospects will sign their national letters of intent. Texas A&M will still be able to utilize the February signing period, I predict most, if not all, of their class will be signed in December.

OL Caden Jones, Gretna (La.) De La Salle

RPM: Texas A&M (87%), Florida (8%)

After his second visit to College State since April, the Texas A&M took over Jones’ RPM and is now sitting in a good spot with Jones. Jones is a massive prospect at 6-foot-7.5, 300 pounds, fitting the true tackle mold Texas A&M is looking for. All three of the current commitments the Aggies hold could move inside so landing Jones would fill a valuable need in this class. Jones described his most recent visit as a success so the Aggies will now look to close on this recruitment. Texas A&M hosted Jones for another visit this past month when the Aggies played the Florida Gators.

Scouting summary: Gargantuan athlete whose potential is through the roof due to his size and athleticism. Absurd measurables for a high school tackle prospect. Stands in at 6-foot-7.5, 300 pounds with 36-inch arms. Jumped an extremely impressive 30-inch vertical during the summer camp circuit prior to his senior season. Raw positional traits due to only playing the game when he started high school. Basketball player who shows his body control and balance on the hardwood and the gridiron. Needs to clean up his footwork in pass protection. Plays with poor leverage but has the bend to improve it. Lacks pop in his hands which should improve as he gets stronger. Extremely raw prospect but has all the tools to be as good as he wants to be. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2023 recruiting cycle.

LB Rahmir Stewart, Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute

RPM: Texas A&M (92%), Penn State (3%)

Stewart was initially scheduled to commit in late July but elected to push back his decision. There was some anticipation that Texas A&M would be the choice but after delaying his decision, this may not be the case anymore. This will be a waiting game till Stewart makes a final decision but with so much time having passed from his initial commitment date and other schools getting involved, Texas A&M may not be a big player in this recruitment.

Scouting summary: Stockier build for the safety position. Lacks ideal length but has a compact frame that can be toned up. Instinctive and heady player who plays at 100 miles per hour. Rarely hesitates when coming downhill and punishes ball carriers. Quality center fielder who does a tremendous job feeling the quarterback’s eyes to break on the ball. Excellent hip fluidity to stay in phas
