2023 Southlake Caroll (Tex.) High punter Tyler White landed an offer from Texas A&M while on a weekend visit for the Maroon & White Game and quickly shut down his recruitment, announcing his commitment to the Aggies on Monday morning

After a great visit with Coach Fisher and [Special Teams Analyst Eric Russell] I have received a full football scholarship offer to Texas A&M,” White said on Twitter. “With that being said, I’m proud to announce that I am committing to continue my academic, football, and pursue my baseball career at Texas A&M.”

White, who is regarded as the top punter prospect in the country per Chris Sailor kicking, picked Texas A&M over offers from Miami and Texas.

He made his way down to College Station for the Maroon & White Game on Saturday, his second visit to Texas A&M this offseason, and came away impressed with everything he saw.

“I had an amazing overall visit at Texas A&M this weekend,” he said. “What stood out to me the most was definitely the players hustle and attitude the entire spring game. Also the coaches and players seem to be having fun and were super excited to be out there competing.”

As a junior, he converted 10-of-12 field goal attempts with a long of 55 yards and averaged 42.3 yards per punt with a long of 62, helping Southlake Caroll to a state semifinals appearance. He earned Second-Team MaxPreps Junior All-American honors for his performance.

The junior is also a standout baseball player for the Dragons, earning First Team All District honors as a pitcher and first baseman and is set to pursue his baseball career at Texas A&M as well.

White joins Wylie (Tex.) East four-star defensive lineman Anthony James, Converse (Tex.) Judson four-star defensive lineman Johnny Bowens and Spring Branch (Tex.) Smithson Valley three-star offensive lineman Colton Thomasson as commits in the Aggies’ 2023 class.

With the addition of White, Texas A&M now ranks as the No. 9 recruiting class in the 2023 cycle and the No. 6 class in the SEC.
