It was only yesterday that Beaumont (Texas) United four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis released a top six that included Texas A&M. Just over 24 hours later, Davis has announced he will be making an unofficial visit to College Station this upcoming Saturday, March 25.

It will be his first visit to Texas A&M.

Davis is the No. 114 overall prospect and No. 7 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 21 player in Texas.

On3 rates Davis higher than other recruiting services. According to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 54 overall prospect, No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 12 player in Texas.

Davis is one of the top OT’s on the market

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound junior holds 13 total offers. According to the  On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Alabama Crimson Tide have a commanding lead for his commitment at 56.2%. Behind the Tide is Texas A&M at 17.5%, LSU at 15.0%, and Houston at 1.1%.

RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Davis landed his offer from Texas A&M in early February. To go along with this upcoming visit, I would expect that Davis visits each of his top six schools and his official visits are picked from the same list.

Alabama already scheduled for one of them, he has four more official visits remaining to be scheduled. Texas A&M will work to be one of them.

Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $93K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

To date, Texas A&M holds four commitments in the class of 2024, two of them coming from Texas. The four commitments are four-star Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove quarterback Anthony Maddox, four-star Longview (Texas) Pine Tree defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, four-star Katy (Texas) Tompkins offensive lineman Ashton Funk, and four-star Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton wide receiver Debron Gatling.
