On3’s Charles Power was live in Boutte, La. for Arch Manning’s season opener vs. Hahnville High. And Manning looked the part of the On3 Consensus No. 1 overall prospect. Fellow Texas commitment Will Randle had a big game on both sides of the ball in the victory.

In the Sunshine State, On3 No. 1 ranked running back Cedric Baxter Jr. went over 200 yards yet again, this time inching closer to a 300 yard rushing game.

And Texas wide receiver commitment and On3 Consensus 4-star Jonah Wilson posted another game of 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns, unofficially.

Arch Manning and Will Randle

On3’s Charles Power took in Isidore Newman’s 35-14 season opening win over Hahnville High. Manning, 6-foot-3.5, 215-pounds, connected on eight of 14 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. He added six rushes for 37 yards in the win.

Manning connected on touchdown passes of 32, 18 and 14 yards.

Manning’s best pass of the night didn’t go for a score. He dropped in a perfectly timed corner route to Texas tight end commitment Will Randle, making the throw while be flushed out of the pocket.

Another angle of the corner route to Randle.

Speaking of Randle, the future Longhorns tight end had a great night on both sides of the ball. His night got started with a pick six.

Randle was all over the field on both sides of the ball, and special teams.

Cedric Baxter Jr. over 500 yards after two games

On3 No. 1 ranked running back and Texas commitment Cedric Baxter Jr. topped his season opening performance of 22 carries for 232 yards last night.

In a very impressive 34-10 win for Edgewater High over Don Bosco Prep out of New Jersey, the 6-foot-1.5, 213-pounder rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

One of Baxter’s touchdowns came on a 58-yard run in which he showed patience, contact balance and long speed.

That gives the No. 28 ranked prospect in the On300 506 yards and three scores on 48 carries through two games. That’s a jaw dropping 10.5 yards per carry.

Jonah Wilson nearing 300 yards through two games

After nine catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener, Texas commitment Jonah Wilson shined again Friday.

In a 41-38 win over Strake Jesuit, the On3 Consensus 4-star posted right at 100 yards receiving and two scores.

Dekaney has another wide receiver to know. Class of 2025’s Tanook Hines recored over 150 yards receiving playing opposite Wilson, who was double-teamed the majority of the contest.
