Cam Scott on campus for official visit
On3 Consensus 4-star shooting guard Cam Scott arrived in Austin for an official visit around 3pm Saturday.
The 6-foot-5.5 explosive athlete and scorer is among the most coveted juniors in the country with offers from the likes of Texas, Auburn, Florida State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Miami and Texas Tech.
Texas offered Scott August 23, and Scott wasted little time scheduling an official visit. Longhorns head coach Chris Beard made a trip to Lexington, S.C. the first week of November to see the high-flyer.
Scott, No. 23 in the On3 Consensus in the 2024 cycle, has already made official visits to South Carolina and Auburn. He has an official scheduled to Florida State in January. He also has plans to make an unofficial visit to Duke following the Texas official visit.
The Lexington High (S.C.) star averaged 21.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals as a sophomore. He is a two-time all-state selection headed into his junior campaign.
