Connor Stroh commits to the Texas Longhorns

On3 Consensus three-star interior offensive lineman Connor Stroh committed to the Texas Longhorns today.

The 6-foot-7, 345-pound very strong human committed to Texas over Texas A&M, Auburn and Arkansas. The Longhorns raced out to a big lead early in the recruitment after Kyle Flood offered in October of 2021. The other three finalists offered in 2022. Arkansas offered January 20, Auburn did the same March 2 and Texas A&M offered last in early April.

Flood built a very strong relationship with Stroh and family. That helped fend off the Aggies, where both of Stroh’s parents attended college.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) favored Texas heavily at 76.4% prior to Stroh’s verbal.

Texas No. 8 ranked class gets a boost

The Longhorns vaulted to the No. 8 ranked class in the On3 Consensus team ranking Thursday with the commitment of No. 1 overall prospect Arch Manning. Texas sported nine commitments prior to Stroh’s announcement. Along with On3 Consensus five-star Manning, Texas class features five more consensus four-star prospects.

With Manning in the fold, a second straight top five class looks like a slam dunk. The Texas weekend official visitor list included 10 four-star prospects.

Texas is also in the mix for a number of other offensive lineman, including On3 Consensus four-star Jaydon Chatman, TCU verbal Trevor Goosby and Andre Cojoe.

Stroh is the No. 485 ranked prospect in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted, industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks the No. 36 interior offensive lineman in the class and No. 81 recruit in Texas.
