Georgia WR transfer AD Mitchell commits to Texas
Georgia wide receiver AD Mitchell is expected to be headed back home. The former Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point prospect entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday, then hit Austin on Thursday. On Friday, he committed to the Longhorns. He has three years remaining to play two seasons and expected to enroll in the coming days.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Mitchell played in the Houston area suburb before moving to Nashville, Tenn. prior to committing to Georgia. A member of the Bulldogs’ back-to-back national championship teams, Mitchell has 560 yards receiving and seven touchdowns on 38 career grabs.
Mitchell notched 29 catches for 426 yards and four touchdowns in 2021, then caught nine passes for 134 yards and three scores in 2022 after missing time during the season due to an ankle injury.
In four career College Football Playoff games, Mitchell has recorded a touchdown reception in each contest. He has seven career catches in CFP games for 149 yards and four touchdowns.

In the Class of 2021, Mitchell was the No. 301 overall prospect, the No. 45 wide receiver, and the No. 8 prospect in Tennessee according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
