ITYT: The latest info from the Texas Longhorns' Saturday scrimmage
Justin Wells and Eric Nahlin dive into the very latest info coming from Texas’ Saturday scrimmage with notes on offense, defense, formations, and much, much more.

Since the defense is ahead early on, that’s where the video begins. Nahlin notes that team defense at all three levels is improved especially in run fits. They inflicted some wins against the Texas offense, including forcing Steve Sarkisian to start some series over for the offense.
The quarterbacks eventually rounded into form, both Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning alike. The two Texas signal-callers did well in certain situations and made sure to find success in the red zone and in two minute.
Wideouts are the next topic and “reliable” is the word used to describe the Horns in the scrimmage. Matthew Golden and Ryan Wingo each made notable plays as detailed in the video.
The two finish by talking about newfangled formations the Longhorns are starting to make more use of including empty and it’s usage. Some young running backs made nice plays in the wake of the injury to CJ Baxter, including Jerrick Gibson, Christian Clark, Tre Wisner, and even some of the walk-ons. The right side of the O-line ends the video and Nahlin describes the progress both have made.
