Four-star wide receiver Jonah Wilson will make an official visit to Texas this weekend.

The No. 234-ranked prospect in the On300 was offered by Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Brennan Marion January 25. The offer came after the Texas coaches watched Wilson play basketball for Dekaney High.

The Longhorns have been in consistent communication with the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder since the late January offer. Wilson has been on campus unofficially multiple times since being offered. Texas holds a comfortable lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The hometown Houston Cougars have worked to make a strong push with the move to the Big 12 coming for the 2023 season. Arkansas has also been involved for months behind the work of wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton’s. Guiton played in high school at Eisenhower High.

The No. 234 prospect in the 2023 On300, Wilson is the No. 36 wide receiver in the nation and No. 43 overall prospect in Texas according to the On3 Consensus rankings, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He has an NIL value of $15.8K, ranked No. 590 in the country.

Wilson enters his senior season at Dekaney High with 52 receptions for 891 yards and 15 touchdowns.
