That was officially announced by Texas on Thursday, along with several other scheduling notes. Kickoff times and television partners for the Longhorns’ other non-conference games were also released.

Texas will open the season on Sept. 3 versus the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with Longhorn Network carrying the action. The Longhorns’ Sept. 17 matchup with the UTSA Roadrunners will also air on LHN with a kickoff time of 7 p.m.

In addition, Texas officially announced its annual Red River Shootout matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners in Dallas, Texas on Oct. 8 will air on ABC. Kickoff time was not announced.

The final scheduling note announced by the athletic department was that Texas’ season-ending game with the Baylor Bears is now on Friday, Nov. 25. ESPN or ABC will air the contest with the kick time to be determined at a later date.

Fox recently announced it had selected the Texas vs. Alabama game, as had ABC with its selection of the Red River Shootout. The 11 a.m. kick time as part of Fox’s Big Noon Saturday promotion was expected, but not made official until Thursday.

According to Texas, this will be the second all-time meeting between Texas and ULM with the other coming in 2009, a 59-20 win for the Longhorns in Austin.

The match-up with Alabama will be the 10th all-time with Texas holding a 7-1-1 advantage in the series. The last meeting came in the 2010 National Championship Game following the 2009 season, which the Crimson Tide won, 37-21. The previous five contests also came in bowl games making this the first visit to Austin for Alabama since 1922, a game won by Texas, 19-10. The teams also played in Austin in 1915, which was a 20-0 win for the Longhorns.

This will be the first-ever game between Texas and UTSA.
