On this episode, Ian and Bobby discuss…

Ian and Bobby discuss win totals released by DraftKings for Big 12 teams. Texas’ O/U was 9.5, Oklahoma was at 9.5, Kansas State was at 8.5, TCU, Texas Tech, and Baylor were at 7.5, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and UCF were at 6.5, BYU was at 6, Iowa State was at 5.5, and Cincinnati, Houston, and West Virginia were at 4.5. Ian mentions he thinks Texas should hit the over if he had to bet and also that DraftKings has placed the number at a good spot to get action on either side.

Ian continues and says that Texas returns talent from last year at QB and WR, and that the rest of the league is down. Bobby says if he had to pick a team to go over the win total, he’d pick Texas Tech and Kansas State. “Texas Tech feels to me they have more than a 7.5 win team,” Bobby said.

“I feel like they have a lot of the same things going for them that Texas does,” Ian added.

Bobby and Ian dive into a discussion about Iowa State and mention they are likely to hit the over on their total before they begin explaining what Texas has to do versus Big 12 opponents. Ian is set to start a series on Inside Texas that will explain how opponents will gameplan for the Longhorns, and the duo goes into how Oklahoma and Brent Venables will try to stop Texas in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Ian sees the Sooners blitzing Quinn Ewers early so as to rattle him and the interior offensive lineman.

“They’re going to just try to blitz the tar out of Texas,” Ian said. “They’re going to make sure on behalf of the rest of the league that Ewers can hold up.”

After the Sooners, the two discuss in detail the upstart Red Raiders, the Big 12 champion Kansas State Wildcats, plus TCU and Baylor.
