In this episode, Bobby and Justin discuss:

  1. Bobby and Justin begin the Texas Football Spring series preview with the quarterback position. The incumbent, Quinn Ewers, returns after going 6-4 in his freshman year at UT. After notching 2,177 yards passing and 15 touchdowns in 2022, Ewers flashed in some games and struggled in others. His best games; Alabama, Oklahoma, Washington, and his worst contests; TCU and Oklahoma State, Ewers is set to have a big spring from a production and leadership standpoint. Ewers’ Alamo Bowl performance was the ideal game to lead into spring ball after going 31-of-47, 369 yards, and one touchdown versus Washington. With the removal of the mullet, it’s now business in the front and business in the back.
  2. Bobby and Justin look at the Longhorns’ backup quarterbacks – Maalik Murphy, Arch Manning, and Charles Wright. What do they all have in common? Zero stats. Murphy is the redshirt freshman that flashed during scout team practices last season and brings the big size and big arm. Manning brings the highest of expectations with a wealth of knowledge, quarterback ability, and acumen to the QB room in Austin. Wright remains the safe backup as a redshirt sophomore from local Austin (Texas) High.
