In this episode, Justin, Bobby, and Gerry discuss…

  • Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco LB Khmori House and Washington (D.C.) St. John’s College LB Montay Weedon both scheduled official visits for June recently, meaning Jeff Choate has been coast-to-coast seeing athletes. Weedon is a bit undersized, but Hamilton described him as an “attentive kid.” House will see Texas before he heads to Seattle to visit the Washington Huskies.
  • Wells discusses Choate’s recruiting ability and how he’ll have to use all of it to overcome opposing school’s pitches that emphasize the number of linebackers Texas took in 2023. Hamilton mentions that some outreach to out-of-state kids may help alleviate that too, but Texas is going to recruit out-of-state under Steve Sarkisian.
  • The group then dives into how many players Texas can take at each position, with the caveat that there’s no catastrophic injuries or transfers to have to account for. They start at QB before going through the rest of the offense. They discuss RBs who Texas wants, and the overall strategy from Tashard Choice. Each position on offense follows, then they detail the defense.

  • The trio makes sure to know that there are also a number of 2025 prospects heading into town, including a number of tight ends. Jeff Banks throws offers out with regularity, but they could find prospects from elsewhere.
  • Defense begins with the D-line, and include a discussion of Five-Star Plus+ Collin Simmons. Linebacker, defensive back, and safety follow, plus an acknowledgement of the punter Michael Kern.
