“I like Coach Sark and the whole program and potentially teaming up with my brother again would be great,” Umeozulu told On3.

Texas linebacker coach Jeff Choate has built a solid connection with Umeozulu.

“Coach Choate wasn’t recruiting me originally,” Umeozulu told Inside Texas. “But as time went on, I started to get to know Coach Choate. I really like him and he’s a genuine dude. I’ve been to Texas a lot lately. Maybe three or four times this Spring. It’s just a good relationship with the whole staff and great seeing my brother ball out at practice. I love being around there.”

Umeozulu had 46 tackles, four tackles for a loss, six sacks and eight hurries during his sophomore campaign. He managed to record 43 tackles, 11 hurries, three fumble recoveries and three sacks in 2022.

Umeozulu ranks as the No. 193 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 14 EDGE and the No. 38 player in the state of Texas.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $74K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
