Texas' 2023 commits possess highest average On3 NIL Valuation by almost six figures

After a recent run of commitments, Texas has vaulted into the No. 2 spot in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s not the only place Texas has seen gains. 2023 Longhorn commits possess an average On3 NIL Valuation of $246,000, a mark that is nearly six figures ahead of the next closest recruiting class’ average valuation.

The figure is boosted by New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman quarterback and Five-Star Plus+ prospect Arch Manning‘s presence in Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s 2023 recruiting class with Manning’s $3.4 million NIL Valuation. Manning ranks No. 2 in the NIL 100 just behind 2023 Los Angeles (Calif.) Sierra Canyon basketball prospect Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James.

Manning, the son of Cooper Manning, nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, and grandson of Archie Manning, is also the No. 1 overall 2023 prospect according to the On3 Consensus.

He is not the only Longhorn commit with a six-figure NIL Valuation. 2023 New Iberia (La.) Westgate safety Derek Williams, 2023 DeSoto (Texas) wide receiver Johntay Cook II, and 2023 Aldine (Texas) Eisenhower wide reciever Ryan Niblett all possess NIL Valuations above $100,000, with Williams and Cook both above $200,000.

Manning ranks as the No. 1 player in the On3 NIL High School Football Rankings. Other Longhorn commits in the top 100 include Cook at No. 13, and Williams at No. 32,

Edgewater running back Cedric Baxter at No. 45, 2024 Temple (Texas) Lake Belton wide receiver Micah Hudson at No. 75, 2023 Houston (Texas) Langham Creek wide receiver Jaquaize Pettaway at No. 83, 2023 Lehi (Utah) Skyridge EDGE Tausili Akana at No. 86, 2023 Longview (Texas) wide receiver Jalen Hale at No. 95, 2023 Monroe (La.) Neville offensive lineman Zalance Heard at No. 96, and 2024 Duncanville (Texas) EDGE Colin Simmons at No. 98.

Texas also has several current Longhorns that rank in On3’s College Football NIL Rankings including 2021 Five-Star Plus+ Quinn Ewers at No. 5, Bijan Robinson at No. 8, Xavier Worthy at No. 25, Isaiah Neyor at No. 81, and Jahleel Billingsley at No. 91.
