Steve Sarkisian had a terrific offensive game plan dialed in for Pete Golding and the Alabama defense, but unfortunately the loss of starting quarterback Quinn Ewers depleted Longhorn upside and took a lot of potential points and passing yards off of the board. Sark hit Bama’s schemes hard with misdirection and routinely isolated Alabama defenders into disadvantage through simple manipulation by formation. He knew their rules intimately and used them against Nick Saban’s defenders. If there were any doubts about which 2020 Alabama assistant could exploit the other’s tendencies better, Sark put that to rest in the first quarter.
