Texas Longhorns Portal/Roster Management Tracker
The current window in the college football calendar is always important but after going 9-3 and missing the playoffs, December and January are more important than ever for the Texas Longhorns. Intensifying the focus, Steve Sarkisian has to do everything in his power to maximize what is assuredly Arch Manning‘s last year in Austin.
While Texas has numerous roster needs, including two glaring needs in particular, everything is fixable with a productive six weeks. Championships can be won or lost due to roster management and there’s no better time to improve your roster than December and January. Nailing roster management isn’t even more important than beating Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
Players transferring is part of the natural life cycle of college football. Some players transfer up, some transfer laterally, and some transfer down. Texas must nail this trade balance as it has in most years.
