Texas moves up to No. 14 in the AP Poll
The Texas Longhorns will finish the regular season ranked No. 14 in the AP Poll.

The Longhorns are the highest ranked 9-3 team in the AP Poll, a small piece of good evidence for Steve Sarkisian’s program as it hopes to move up and into the College Football Playoff’s field of 12. New CFP rankings, which are independent from the AP Poll, will be released this Tuesday.
SEC teams in the top 25 included No. 3 Georgia, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 10 Alabama, No. 13 Vanderbilt, and No. 25 Missouri. Ohio State was the No. 1 team in the poll.
The Longhorns moved up two spots to No. 14 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Teams from the SEC in the top 25 included No. 3 Georgia, No. 5 Ole Miss, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 10 Alabama, No. 12 Vanderbilt, and No. 24 Tennessee. Ohio State, who was also on the Longhorns’ schedule, was No. 1.
