After talking with Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian on Wednesday night, Norman (Okla.) Community Christian 2023 EDGE Bai Jobe announced an offer from Texas.

Jobe is originally from Senegal and is fairly new to the sport of football, in fact the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder originally planned on solely playing basketball in America. Jobe is also a member of the C4 7v7 organization that primarily works with prospects in the Texoma subregion.

On3/The Wolverine’s Tim Verghese had this to say on Jobe in his latest “Film Room” evaluation article.

Bai Jobe is a fascinating prospect. Still very new to the game of football, Jobe is raw but has all the high-end athletic traits you look for in a modern day edge rusher. He’s athletic enough to return kicks and play some wide receiver for his school, as seen below.

Texas has one verbal commitment in the 2023 cycle in Arlington (Texas) Seguin four-star cornerback Jamel Johnson. Johnson is the No. 180 prospect in the country according to the On3 Consensus and has an On3 NIL Valuation of $10,900. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

At 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Bai Jobe is the No. 156 ranked recruit in the country in the class of 2023, according to the On3 consensus a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 15 EDGE in the country and the No. 4 recruit from the state of Oklahoma.

On3’s own rankings have a bit of a lower view on Jobe than the industry average. He’s the No. 191 overall prospect and No. 23 EDGE nationally, plus the No. 3 player from his home state of Oklahoma.

Jobe has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6,500. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
