Texas opens as an over two-touchdown favorite versus Kansas

Circa Sports released opening lines for week 5’s slate of college football on Sunday afternoon, including a points spread and total for the No. 3 Texas Longhorns’ matchup versus the No. 24 Kansas Jayhawks

Texas opened as a 16-point favorite over Kansas, with a point total set at 66.5.

The Longhorns just covered the 16-17 point spread versus the Baylor Bears with their 38-6 win. According to OddsShark, Texas is 2-2 against the spread this season. Texas won outright as an underdog versus Bama and covered as a favorite versus the Bears. The Longhorns failed to cover versus Rice and Wyoming.

Other Big 12 games also had point spreads assigned to them. The Baylor Bears opened as a nine-point underdog to the Central Florida Knights ahead of the matchup between the two teams in Orlando, Fla. The point total was set at 57.

Iowa State was listed as an 18-point underdog to Oklahoma ahead of the Cyclones’ upcoming trip to Norman, Okla. to face the top-15 Sooners. The total was set at 48.5.

Texas Tech is a seven point favorite at home versus Houston. The total is set at 60.5

Cincinnati and BYU are set to meet in Provo, Utah in a battle of Big 12 newcomers. The Cougars are a two-point favorite with a point total set at 50.

TCU opens as a 13-point favorite over the West Virginia Mountaineers ahead of a game on the Horned Frogs’ home turf. The total is set at 50.5.
