Texas was ranked No. 23 in the November 22 CFP rankings. They were one of two four-loss teams in the latest top 25 along with No. 25 Louisville

Fellow Big 12 members TCU and Kansas State were also included in the top 25. The Horned Frogs were ranked No. 4 while the Wildcats were ranked No. 12.

The Longhorns were the No. 24 team in the rankings released Week 9. Texas was left out of the Week 10 and Week 11 rankings before returning to the list of 25 this week.
