Texas ranked No. 10 in updated College Football Playoff rankings

The Texas Longhorns moved up one spot to No. 10 in the updated College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night.

Texas would be the No. 10 seed in the projected tournament and play at No. 7 Ole Miss if these rankings held true to the end of the season.

Southeastern Conference teams in the top 25 included No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 Ole Miss, No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 14 Vanderbilt, and No. 23 Tennessee. Ohio State, who was ranked No. 1, was the only team from Texas’ non-conference schedule in the rankings.

Texas battles Georgia this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
