Utah transfer Timmy Allen commits to Texas

Chris Beard and staff continue to add key pieces to the 2021-22 Longhorn roster.

The latest addition is Utah transfer forward Timmy Allen. The 6-foot-6 Allen came out of Red Mountain in Mesa, Ariz. in the class of 2018 as a four-star prospect.

He was ranked in the top 125 nationally with offers from Utah, San Diego State, Creighton, Texas Tech, USC, UCLA and Arizona State.

In three seasons for the Utes, Allen scored 1,323 points in 85 games (82 starts) for a career average of 15.6 points per game.

2018-19) 12.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists
57.5% FG’s, 4-7 from three and 73.5% FT’s (97-132)

2019-20) 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals
44.1% FG’s, 8-38 three’s and 76.9% FT’s (151-209)

2020-21) 17.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3,9 assists, 1.3 steals
46.5% FG’s, 11-41 three’s and 76.9% (110-143)
