Boobie Feaster

Four-star wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster announced his commitment to the USC Trojans on Friday, July 4 at noon in his hometown of DeSoto (Texas). Feaster announced his commitment to the Trojans via social media.

The four-star receiver took his USC official visit the weekend of June 6-8. The visit was his third and most impactful by far. After his USC official visit, Feaster visited Texas A&M and LSU, but he’s actually been on commitment watch for USC since June 8.

While USC wasn’t considered by many to have a great shot when Feaster announced reclassification plans, he already had a USC official visit set up for June 6-8. For me, that was pretty telling. Turns out he’s had a relationship with USC wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons since seventh grade.

“With USC, you know they will have a great quarterback throwing their receivers the call with Lincoln Riley as the head coach,” said Feaster. “I love the coaching staff, I love the, the city around it, I love L.A. and it’s a great place to be in. And Coach Simmons, that’s my guy.”

Feaster learned a lot about USC from his previous two visits and countless phone conversations with the coaching staff, but he’s also been able to gain insight about the football program from a player’s perspective.

“I got a little source I talk to a lot, Jahkeem Stewart,” said Feaster. “So, that’s my guy. He’s from Louisiana, so, he’s just like me. I talk to him a good amount.”

From the outset, Feaster’s main contacts at USC were Dennis Simmons and Lincoln Riley.

“That’s my guy,” Feaster said about Riley. “He probably calls me almost every day. I mean, almost every day. He’s got who I feel is the best slot in the 2026 class (Trent Mosley). He also got one of the best quarterbacks in the country (Jonas Williams) and they’ve built a great class for 2026.”

Jonas Williams and Peyton Houston

USC quarterback commit Jonas Williams and Feaster visited together June 6-8, but it wasn’t an official visit for Williams. It was the first time he and Williams had met. There were plans for Feaster to work out with Williams and USC tight end commit Mark Bowman in Inglewood that weekend, but a meeting with Lincoln Riley was a bigger priority.

“We spent a ton of time together on the visit,” Feaster said of Williams.

Four-Star 2027 QB Peyton Houston, who was last in Los Angeles in mid June to visit USC for the second time this spring, grew up around Feaster in the Shreveport (LA) area. Apparently the chances of those two playing together in college are fairly high.

Don’t be surprised if Houston commits to the same school Feaster does, despite Houston being a year behind Feaster. Feaster was originally a 2027 prospect until he reclassified earlier this year. The two talented Louisianans are very close.

Jamar Chase or Big Mike Williams

We asked Feaster which wide receiver he patterns his game after and he said Ja’Marr Chase, who played for LSU. But Coach Kerry Sweeney from DeSoto actually sees a lot of Big Mike Williams in Boobie Feaster. Thinks he can add significant weight and maintain his impressive athleticism. We have no doubt about that ourselves.

There’s no doubt Feaster has a catch radius similar to that of Mike Williams with his longer arms and good-sized hands. The big difference is Williams is 6-5 and Feaster 6-1. If Feaster can produce like Williams and Chase in college, the school signing him will be in great shape. To this day for many, Williams is the top receiver they’ve ever seen play for the Trojans…including me.

USC Visit

According to Feaster, the highlight of the USC office visit was how Riley and his staff treated him and his family. Feaster’s grandfather made the trip with Feaster and his family to Los Angeles last week.

We’re told the USC staff did a phenomenal job celebrating the birthday with the Feasters and that stood out to the family.

“They loved USC,” Feaster said. “They did a great job taking care of my family.”
