When the USC defense took the field to begin the 2021 season, there was Calen Bullock, becoming the first true freshman to start at safety for USC since 2013. When the Trojans needed a play to slam the door on Washington State for good this past weekend, there was Calen Bullock, racing down the sideline and going up in the perfect position to grab his first career interception. The true freshman is increasingly becoming an important part of the USC secondary. Eight months after stepping on campus, he's virtually a co-starter and someone defensive coordinator Todd Orlando is looking to give more opportunities.
